Anyone who follows Adam Young on twitter has probably been anticipating this release as eagerly as he has. The album, released under the band name Sky Sailing, features the early recordings of Adam, before Owl City, Swimming with Dolphins, and Port Blue. The album is really different from most of Adam's current music, but I really like it, possibly better than Owl City. It's a really interesting juxtaposition- comparing his aggressive synthpop to this project. This album is mush slower, more relaxed, and calmer. As opposed to electronic, the style of the music is more acoustic, and piano oriented. It is the perfect summer album. Some album highlights are Sailboats, and Captains of the sky. Even if you're not a fan of Adam's more electronic stuff, there is a big chance you will love Sky Sailing because it is quite different, and sounds a bit more natural. All in all, it is a lovely album.
